A residential, commercial, and investment real-estate brokerage firm, Oviedo’s Core Group sets the local standard for exceptional client service and results. But while co-founders Cheryl and Justin Core relish seeing their clients experience the value of Core Group’s processes and systems, they work to constantly refine them.

Each element that makes up a buyer’s or seller’s customized, personalized service package is the result of years of experience and consideration. Those elements include:

Providing Core Group’s real-estate agents with transaction coordinators to manage support tasks, allowing agents to stay focused on Priority #1: Representing their client’s interests. An agent may be juggling multiple offers simultaneously, for example, and must know details of each one. Reducing their distractions is key.

“New agents often don’t have anyone running support,” says Cheryl. “Without that, the quality of their service goes down dramatically.”

Hiring only full-time agents committed to their clients’ success.

“A lot of what we do is preventative, front-end-loaded stuff,” says Justin.

This work – researching comps and projections and attending appraisal and inspection appointments – takes time and diligence.

Giving buyers or sellers step-by-step guidance and support. This is where Core Group shines. The team understands that property transactions can be stressful. Small touches set the firm apart, like a delivery of treats with the message, “Sweet! Your home inspection is complete!” as well as marking other milestones in the process with personal client attention.

Along with this culture of continuous improvement comes Core Group’s knowledge and experience. That foundation benefits sellers when it’s time to price a home, for example. Core Group understands market value and the importance of an accurate appraisal. The firm trains agents to raise questions about appraisals that seem low – which could mean the difference between a seller earning the true value of their investment or not.

“Somebody has to be the highest comp, after all,” says Cheryl.

An appraisal – one person’s opinion – should be more than simply the price of what’s been sold in a neighborhood.

“There’s a bigger picture,” Justin says. “An appraisal can’t all be based on past sales. There has to be an aspect of it that’s future-based, as well.”

Core Group helps sellers get the most out of their investments. The firm also invests in the community and its agents, elevating the cycle of value.

“We hire people with high integrity,” says Justin, “cater to them in terms of real-world training, and then teach them to cater to their clients.”
