Ladybird Academy Oviedo is one of Central Florida’s premier preschool providers. Featuring high-tech, hands-on programs that encourage kids age six-weeks to 12-years to create, explore, move, and play, Ladybird Academy has been a part of the Oviedo community since 2013. The school provides children the highest-quality learning experiences in a bright, spacious, and secure setting.

“When the COVID-19 pandemic was declared, a difficult question had to be answered: Could we safely remain open to provide an essential service to parents, many of whom are frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and even a parent in the National Guard who got called upon to help in the pandemic?” says Rick Law, owner of the Oviedo school. “We had to be nimble and creative to maintain operations in a safe manner. As a result, we have put great care in our procedures as well as our sanitizing technologies.”

The Oviedo facility is equipped with a ZONO machine to sanitize toys and other equipment using ozone. Additionally, portable ozone air purifiers are used nightly to sanitize classrooms and common areas.

“The HVAC system is also equipped with bipolar ionization technology, which utilizes specialized tubes that take oxygen from the air and convert it to charged ions that then deactivate harmful substances like mold, bacteria, and viruses,” Rick adds. “A recent addition is an electrostatic mister, which disperses a charged fine mist of hospital-grade disinfectant that is even food-surface-safe.”
