Since 1999, Lake Mary Preparatory School has offered students a personalized approach to learning that inspires critical thought, personal and academic achievement, a global perspective, and strength of character.
“Committed to and focused on our mission and vision, we emphasize academic excellence, individualized outcomes, and nurturing globally-minded student leaders who value service to the larger community,” says Jack Delman, Lake Mary Prep’s headmaster, as he reflects on the school’s 20 years of distinction. “Our passionate and inspirational staff members strive to challenge our students academically while teaching them to be responsible, compassionate members of our school and global community.”
Founded in unity, diversity, and integrity, Lake Mary Prep offers programs for children age three through 12th grade, including a challenging and dynamic college-preparatory curriculum enriched by opportunities in the arts, athletics, and community service.
“Lake Mary Prep is a fantastic school,” says parent Nina Barth. “Wonderful teachers, small class size, engaging class trips... our child has grown academically and socially. It feels like a family, and we couldn’t be happier with our child’s experience.”
In addition to its exceptional academic offerings, Lake Mary Prep is dedicated to helping its high-school students gain exposure and access to colleges across the country. Featuring a robust selection of Advanced Placement (AP) and STEAM courses, the school also offers flexible scheduling and on-site college placement test preparation.
“Our comprehensive college counseling program focuses on individually tailored college readiness for each student,” explains Daron A. Gallina, director of college counseling. “Utilizing online tools, college tours, and networking opportunities, we help students identify potential target schools and set goals to meet their criteria. We then work together over the four years of high school to achieve admission to the college that best matches the student’s future aspirations.”
Welcoming a melting pot of nationalities, cultures, and ethnicities from across the globe, Lake Mary Prep is committed to continuing its rich, 20-year history of developing leaders who succeed in college and their future careers.
“We have created a learning environment that has differentiated our school for the past two decades,” Jack adds. “Highlighted by international travel and internships, global problem-solving classes, student exchange programs, international sports, and fine-arts jamborees, our priority is in our students, and our goal is to help them exercise leadership in not only the school, but also in the community and world.”
