After working at Palm Tree Tech Center for more than five years, Andrew Schult took over the iconic Oviedo company in July 2020 – quite a time to assume ownership of any small business.
Fortunately for Andrew and his staff (and especially their customers), the unique demands of the coronavirus pandemic made Palm Tree Tech’s services more vital than ever before.
Take video surveillance, for example. Palm Tree Tech is the community’s premier provider of internet-enabled security cameras and other advanced monitoring equipment for homes and businesses. When many local companies closed their offices and began working from home, Palm Tree Tech’s cutting-edge solutions gave business owners an easy way to secure and monitor their offices when no one was on-premises. The latest artificial-intelligence technology even allows those cameras to accurately identify vehicles, animals, and people to better determine actual threats vs. innocent passersby.
And then there was the sudden, intense need to have home computers operating at peak performance. Laptops and desktops previously used for casual email checking and Web surfing were suddenly called upon to become all-day work and school machines. Downtime was out of the question, and minor slowdowns instantly became crippling defects. Once again, the technicians at Palm Tree Tech were there to help – even if they had to take one-at-a-time shifts in the workshop for safety.
It may be under new ownership, but Palm Tree Tech Center’s 25-year legacy of service continues, much to the delight of the Oviedo-Winter Springs community.
