Hi, Hi, How Do You Do? Welcome to My Gym

Swings, hayrides, ball pits, tumbles, singing, dancing, jumping, stories, and my 10-month-old daughter Reagan’s favorite–BUBBLES! We had no idea what we were getting into when we went for a trial class at My Gym Lake Mary.

It started with circle time. Reagan wasn’t so sure about all the singing and stretching, but she made it through sitting on my lap. Then we explored the gym checking out the balance beam, stairs, rock wall and ball pit. I could see her looking around just taking it all in. She turned and smiled at me while she crawled up some foam stairs.

While we were exploring, the My Gym teachers set up stations. The first station was a spaceship zipline and to my surprise she loved it! Flying from one end of the gym to the other in a swing (with the help of a teacher) put a big smile on her face. Then we hit the magic carpet swing and did a tumbling station.

Being at home with her Grammy during the day, Reagan doesn’t get a lot of time with other kids so it was great to see her watching other babies play She got right in the mix and was crawling over to them to check out whatever they were playing with.

Then it was separation time. I think I was more nervous than she was.. All I had to do was leave her for five minutes in the middle of a circle with toys and the teachers while I watched from the other side of the gym. She did fabulous! She didn’t even care that I wasn’t right next to her. She was way too busy checking out the toys and giving the little girl next to her a friendly pat.

The hour wrapped up with a puppet show, which Reagan actually sat still and watched. Thanks to Miss Brooklynn for getting my kid to sit still for that long! All the teachers we have spent time with have so much energy and take such good care of all the kids. You can tell they want the kids to have a good time.

After our first experience, we signed up and now you can find Reagan and me at My Gym Lake Mary every Sunday morning with her new friends, waiting to see what fun adventures the teachers have planned.
