Sanford Rocks is part of fun stone-painting, scavenger hunt craze. Learn how you can spread the joy by painting rocks and hiding them around town to inspire delight and creativity!

Sanford Rocks has one purpose – to spread JOY!

The community-based group is part of a stone-painting, scavenger hunt craze sweeping various parts of the country. It's all about brightening people’s days by encouraging others to paint rocks and hide them around town. The goal is for folks to discover them and be struck with sheer delight! It’s a call to look around you, appreciate the beauty, and explore the area you live in.

How do you participate?

All you need are rocks, paint, and creativity. Paint your rock(s), reference your location on the back (for example SanfordRocks, LakeMaryRocks, etc. - this is optional), and hide it somewhere around town!

What if you find a painted rock?

If you find a painted rock, you can either keep it or re-hide it for someone else to find. If you decide to keep a rock, you are encouraged to hide a new rock somewhere in its place (but this is optional!)

For detailed information on how to start, what kinds of paint to use and more, check the local Sanford Rocks Facebook Group.
