Our staff is pumped for 2018 and we’re feeling good about the things we want to achieve both personally and professionally. So, to make us a little more accountable and help you get to know each of us a little bit better, we’d like to share some of our resolutions. We’ve made an oath to stick to it – for real – and will update our readers on our progress in a couple of months!
Happy New Year from our family to yours!

One resolution I have is to read every night before bed, even if it's just a few pages. I keep a book on my bedside table and set a reminder on my phone to prompt me right around bedtime. I want to unplug from technology and screen time and ease into a more restful sleep. So far so good!

For 2018 I am resolved to downsize and move into a smaller space. To that end, every time it's garbage or recycling collection day, I bring an additional garbage can or bin to the curb. After all the years of living in the same space and running the business from the house until just a few years ago, I can guarantee that this will take an entire year – just in time for the new homes in Griffin Farms to be ready! I've already delivered a trunkful of clothing and shoes to The Sharing Center with more coming soon.
Heather Loomis – Art Director
In 2018 I am continuing my resolution from last year of self-care. I get so caught up in my daughter, husband, family, work, our house, side projects, and social life that I forget about myself. So I take time every few weeks to do something that I want to do. It might be getting my nails or hair done, going for a run on the gorgeous trails, or watching a few hours of a good Netflix series.

I've never been much of a resolutions guy. I just want to make good use of every day, take care of my family, and be as productive as possible. I guess it's more of a New Day's Resolution that repeats every 24 hours.

I will try to listen more and speak less.

This year I hope to continue to give my kids as many memorable travel experiences as possible, whether we hop in the car for a day trip or make it a mini vacation. Last February's weekend trip to Stone Mountain, Georgia to hike and see snow (even if it was from a machine!) is one that my my four year old is still talking about! Before the New Year, we drove to St. Augustine to explore the fort and experience the magical Night of Lights for the first time. Can't wait to do more in 2018!

Hello 2018! I have three goals. First, organize my garage so I can finally fit my car in it! Next, I want to clean out my closet to make more room in my life for the things that matter. And lastly, I know everyone will cheer me on for this, I’d like to save money and help pay for my daughter’s wedding!
Sherri Westfall – Office Manager
In 2018 I’m hoping to make more lasting memories with my family. It’s been a few years since we have taken a "real" family vacation together. It gets harder the older my girls become as they have their own busy schedules and significant others to balance. So this year I’m committed to finding new ways of strengthening family bonds while having fun together.
Mary Pando – Publisher
This year I’m focused on simplifying and organizing my life.
Kristen Denny – Sales Manager
I want to declutter my life. I plan on trying to eliminate items from my home each week!
Pam Czopp – Sales Manager
I’m going to use a fitness app to do 10,000 steps every day in 2018. It may not be a lot to most, but for me it will be great strides!
