It’s always a busy summer on the athletic fields and in the pools around our community. Join us as we congratulate some of our local sports leagues who had another successful summer under the sun.

Patriot Aquatics Summer Swim League

The Wekiva Wahoos are the 2016 Patriot Aquatics Summer Swim League champions! Each summer at the Lake Brantley Aquatic Center, swimmers ages 5-12 compete in the Patriot Aquatics Summer Swim League. With a goal to promote a sense of community, children compete on teams that are made up of families from their neighborhood. Practices and meets start in May and end with a championship swim meet in July. For the fourth year in a row, the Wekiva Wahoos Swim Team took home the championship trophy.

Maitland Little League

Maitland Little League’s Intermediate 50/70 and Junior divisions both won the District 23 Championship and advanced to sectionals. The league placed second in its district in all other divisions.
