The deed is done! After signing on the dotted line, Lake Mary Life business owners Sheila and Michael Kramer walked over to put the SOLD sign on the lot where their new home will be built in Griffin Park in Lake Mary. Read about their experience picking the perfect location for their custom home.
When I learned about a year ago that Griffin Park by David Weekley Homes was going to be developed, I couldn’t have been more excited – it was located just across the street from the offices of Lake Mary Life! Then a few months later, when I learned that the project would include private homes, my excitement level really peaked. The only problem was that residential developer David Weekley Homes was playing its cards close to the vest, keeping home designs, sizes, and prices confidential… until last week.
That’s when I learned about the models, the pricing, and all of the added value you receive when you buy early (worth it!).

At our VIP preview, we not only walked into the home of our dreams, we also ran into old friends who had relocated to Volusia County when their kids finished Lake Mary High. They were coming home to Lake Mary because this is where their kids are raising their kids.
We picked our lot and selected all of the amazing custom features we were offered. The next couple up to sign were empty nesters too, and from Lake Mary. They actually recognized me from seeing my photo on the publisher’s page in Lake Mary Life. They endeared themselves to us when they said they love our magazine and read it cover to cover. The husband asked us what model we chose and a lively discussion about what we were going to do with the upstairs loft space ensued. Library, gym, media room...the options are endless.
I think that’s how it’s going to be in Griffin Park… old friends and new neighbors in a beautiful maintenance free home. I asked our new neighbor-to-be if, by chance, they played Bridge. “No,” she said, “but we’ll find something else in common for sure!”
It’s going to be great!
