Sanford is growing by leaps and bounds - with seemingly a new business added almost weekly and special events popping up on a consistent basis. With all this new activity taking place in our own backyard, here’s a run-down of all the regularly-scheduled Sanford events you can - and should - add to your list of community outings.
Saturday Farmers Market & Bazaar
Every Saturday from 10am - 3pm, meet in Magnolia Square in historic downtown for fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, honey, and more! Follow them on Facebook @sanfordflfarmersmarket for scintillating vendor photos and weekly updates.
Sanford Art Walk
Pop into the Historic Sanford Welcome Center the third Saturday of every month from 6 - 9pm for a juried art show and walking tour of art venues located in historic downtown. The event takes place from 6:00 - 9:00pm on the third Saturday of each month and also includes live music!
Alive After Five
One of the largest recurring street parties in Central Florida, Alive After Five (AA5) features live music, local artists, food, and craft beers in a beautiful historic downtown the second Thursday of each month from 5 - 8pm. Each month shines with its own theme or partnered event. Upcoming events include:

Movie Classics on Magnolia
Movie Classics on Magnolia, a partnership with the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, celebrates the classics by showing them again on the big screen. Showings are bi-monthly and scheduled through the end of the year - but check the WDPAC calendar regularly for more details. Admission is $5 at the door. Upcoming movies you can enjoy again are:

Movie in the Square
Movie in the Square is a free outdoor movie showing in Magnolia Square from 8 - 10pm that takes place somewhat bi-monthly. Check the Sanford calendar for exact details. This month’s movie on Friday the 28th highlights Christmas in July by watching the holiday favorite, ELF.
