Medical problems don’t always happen during doctors’ office hours, and sometimes when you need to see a doctor, it’s hard to get an appointment right away. That’s where CareNow Urgent Care comes in.
Doctors, nurses, and X-ray and lab technicians are on hand to take care of most of your non-emergency medical needs on a walk-in basis at the new Lake Mary clinic, conveniently located on the corner of Lake Mary Boulevard and Primera Boulevard.
Hours at this office are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, in addition to Sunday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Patients can stop by without an appointment for a wide variety of services including school and sports physicals (just $20 until August 31), employment physicals, treatment for minor injuries and lacerations, and routine vaccinations.
“This is a brand-new location where you can be treated fast without any kind of appointment,” says Dr. Christian Gabor, the attending physician at CareNow’s Lake Mary clinic. “Just stop by here and you’ll get the same quality care that you would get from your family doctor.”
CareNow started in 1993 and now has more than 110 clinics nationwide, each dedicated to providing convenient, superior care at an affordable cost to children and adults. The Lake Mary location opened in December 2017.
Patients have two choices when they decide to visit CareNow Urgent Care. They can either walk in and hang out in CareNow’s clean and comfortable waiting area, enjoying complimentary Wi-Fi and beverages, or they can use Web Check-In, CareNow’s innovative online process that eliminates long waits in the lobby.
With Web Check-In, you can create an account on CareNow’s website and fill out an online registration form prior to your visit. After receiving a confirmation call, you’ll be able to find out whether or not the office is busy at the time, allowing you to wait at home until the doctor is ready to see you.
“If further care is required, the patient is sent to one of our many specialists or to the emergency room, if necessary,” Dr. Gabor says. “We are affiliated with Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. When we send a patient to the ER along with their X-ray report and digital files, it saves a lot of time because they are already in the hospital’s system.”
So, if you need to see a doctor – and you need to see one now – don’t hesitate to visit CareNow for the very best in urgent care.
