Elements Massage

Kerri and Matthew Boos moved to Sanford with their three children seven years ago and quickly got involved in many of the athletic activities the area has to offer. So, when the couple decided to go into business together, Elements Massage was the perfect fit. They opened the therapeutic massage studio in Sanford in the Marketplace at Seminole Towne Center this past February.

Elements Massage has approximately 230 locations throughout the country and seven in Florida. This is the first location in the Central Florida area.

“It struck us that there is really a demand for this,” Matthew says. “Central Florida is full of really active people, and they need more than a couple of Aleve and a day off. Massage is a key component of their recovery routine. We see a lot of endurance athletes here. A couple of our therapists also are runners and triathletes, so they can identify how to best treat the symptoms that the patient is presenting.”

Another deciding factor in selecting Elements Massage as their perfect business venture: Before having children, Kerri was a licensed massage therapist in Seattle.

“Massage has always been something that was part of my routine, because I understood the benefits of it,” Kerri says. “I knew this was something that I could be passionate about. This is more than just a business to us.”
What makes Elements Massage different from other massage franchises is the therapeutic relationship that practitioners establish with their clients.

“They understand how your body functions and how it impacts the way you feel,” Matthew says. “Whether you’re a massage veteran or you’ve never had a massage before, this is an excellent place for you. We can match you with the therapist that best meets your needs.

Elements Massage offers a variety of services including deep tissue, Swedish, and Himalayan salt stone massage. A Wellness Program offers discounted rates for monthly massages. Another popular offering is a Couples Massage room that can be used not only for couples, but also for mothers and daughters or even girlfriends.

“We emphasize to our clients that this is one hour out of your month where you can be in a quiet room with no distractions,” Kerri says. “That is such a benefit. We’re all busy with our daily schedules, but we all need some time to decompress.”
