These days, with so many daily distractions and schedule changes, it’s easy to neglect routine health appointments, but optometrist Dr. Kenneth Hunt of Hunt Eyecare reminds patients that annual eye exams are essential to achieve optimal health.

“Routine eye exams are just as important as annual physicals,” says Dr. Hunt. “Even during a pandemic, people continue to wear contacts and glasses – that’s part of life. As a result, we’ve made the necessary adjustments to our operating protocols to ensure patients and staff can interact safely and effectively.”

To guarantee patients are comfortable and safe during their routine eye exam and eyewear consultation, Dr. Hunt and his team have implemented several safety and disinfecting procedures to safeguard against virus transmission.

“We have adjusted our appointments and flow to minimize overlap of persons in the optical and testing rooms,” says Dr. Hunt. “We have increased our cleaning and disinfecting measures to include all sample frames after each handling, all surfaces, all electronic devices, and all medical equipment. Everyone entering Hunt Eyecare, including employees, will have their temperature checked, and masks are highly recommended. We want everyone in our community to feel comfortable coming here for their routine checkups and emergency eyecare. During the uncertainty of the pandemic, we want to do our part to help people avoid crowding walk-in clinics or emergency rooms.”

With more than 20 years in practice, Dr. Hunt is dedicated to providing clients comprehensive services under one roof including primary eyecare exams, ocular disease diagnostics and management, emergency eyecare, and a diverse optical boutique.

“Our goal is to provide the highest-quality eyecare in a friendly, professional environment,” says Dr. Hunt. “We strive to exceed your expectations by offering you the latest and most advanced optometric services. Whether you need contact lenses, glasses, or a comprehensive eye exam, we will take care of you like no one else.”

Hunt Eyecare’s optical showroom features the latest trends in fashion frames and sunglasses for adults and children, and appointments are not required to shop. The office is open for eye exams and eyewear selection Monday through Friday and accepts most eye insurance and some medical plans.

“My family and I have been going to see Dr. Hunt for years,” says happy client Melinda Masterson. “His level of care and diagnostics is second to none. His exams are very thorough, and I always leave knowing I got the best care! The staff is eager to help, and they are always attentive to your needs. I also love their wide selection of frames. I highly recommend Hunt Eyecare!”
