"When my son, Bobby, read the 20/20 line on Dr. Hunt’s eye chart for the first time, he had been working with Dr. Hunt for six years to improve his vision. Dr. Hunt’s expertise paid off, and we can’t thank him enough! And his staff is AMAZING! If you’re looking for an optometrist who truly knows what he’s doing, stop searching and schedule an appointment with Dr. Hunt today!” – Edith DeCourcy
With reviews like this, it’s easy to see why optometrist Dr. Kenneth Hunt is celebrating 20 years in practice and 18 years serving Seminole County. Dedicated to providing the best quality service and most advanced treatments in one convenient location, Dr. Hunt and his experienced team at Hunt Eyecare ensure their patients’ eye health is always the top priority.
“Our practice was designed to offer everything from diagnostic exams to the complete creation of your optical wear under one roof,” says Dr. Hunt. “We’re committed to providing you and your family superior service at an affordable price.”
That philosophy also includes offering patients access to the latest in vision-health technology. With devices such as the optical coherence tomographer and fundus camera (a digital retinal camera) available at his Lake Mary location, Dr. Hunt performs in-depth evaluations of his patients’ eyes as he examines the tissues and nerves that can be affected by glaucoma and macular degeneration, two of the most common vision impairments.
“These technologies provide a detailed analysis of the patient’s eyes and allow me to document the current state of their vision and monitor any change,” says Dr. Hunt. “That’s essential for early detection and preventative treatment.”
In addition to Dr. Hunt’s expertise, Hunt Eyecare recently added two apprentice opticians who are available to read prescriptions and assist patients with the selection of glasses and contacts.
“With the addition of our apprentice opticians, patients have even more flexibility and access to our retail services when they are in need of new or replacement glasses and contacts,” Dr. Hunt says.
Hunt Eyecare’s optical showroom features the latest trends in fashion frames and sunglasses for adults and children, and appointments are not required to shop. Soft and gas permeable contact lenses are also available for most prescriptions including astigmatism and multifocal wearers. Hunt Eyecare is open for eye exams and eyewear selection Monday through Friday. The office accepts most major insurance plans and is a Medicare provider.
