Knight Dermatology Institute has recently expanded to include a second office in Lake Mary, bringing its established, highly skilled dermatology expertise to north Orlando for the very first time.

Born and raised in Central Florida, J. Matthew Knight, MD is the founder and director of Knight Dermatology Institute and the new Orlando Health UF Health Melanoma & Skin Cancer Center. While Lake Mary and Seminole County may be new terrain for Dr. Knight and his team, Knight Dermatology isn’t a new venture – its downtown practice has enjoyed great success for 15 years.

“We’re establishing a satellite footprint in Lake Mary, and we’re excited about that,” says Dr. Knight. “We’ve been very fortunate to be able to expand and help patients in this area.”

Due to its famed sunny days, the Orlando area is ground zero for melanoma and other skin cancers.

“Central Florida is the epicenter for the skin cancer epidemic in our country,” explains Dr. Knight, “so we understand the need for skin cancer/melanoma detection and treatment.”

Dr. Knight says that Lake Mary was a perfect fit for the satellite office due to its growing population and excellent quality of life. Having made countless appearances on FOX 35 TV to share his medical expertise on such topics as spotting signs of skin cancer to the necessity of good, quality sleep habits, Dr. Knight is already very familiar with our community.

“During my trips up to the TV studio, I was always impressed with the Lake Mary area,” says Dr. Knight. “It’s a beautiful community, and I thought it would be a great place to bring our talent.”

The focus of the Lake Mary office is skin cancer/melanoma detection and treatment and general dermatology services.
“Our mission is to cure skin cancer and to help people look and feel better about their skin,” Dr. Knight says.

Like the Orlando office, the new location is devoted to providing excellent customer service. Staff and providers are known for their warm, welcoming attitudes, considerable experience, and friendly smiles, and the office offers flexible scheduling.

“We want our patients to not only be healthy and feel wonderful about their skin, but we also want them to be happy and have an incredible experience,” says Dr. Knight.

With all that the area has to offer, plus Lake Mary’s new Orlando Health medical facility, it was an easy choice to bring Knight Dermatology Institute to Lake Mary.

“We focus on what our patients want, what they need, and what’s best for them,” says Dr. Knight.
