Longtime patients of Dr. Dennis Horanic might notice a new smile during their next visit to Lake Forest Dentistry. After serving Seminole County as a solo practitioner for more than two decades, Dr. Horanic recently welcomed Dr. Jeonggyu An to his team.
“With the addition of Dr. An to our practice, we will now be able to offer patients more flexibility and convenience with new appointment opportunities, including Monday hours,” Dr. Horanic says.
Born and raised in Ulsan, South Korea, Dr. An moved to America when he was 16 years old. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Florida Dental Association, Central District.
“I consider myself a dental health coach,” Dr. An says. “My primary focus is to build a solid relationship with my patients as I help them gain control of their dental health by educating them about the state of their mouth and how it directly relates to their overall well-being. Each patient has unique goals and needs. My role is to serve as a guide as we identify and address their dental issues in the most efficient and effective manner.”
For some patients, that may include a lesson on proper flossing and brushing, Dr. An notes.
“Despite seeing a dentist for 20 or more years, some patients don’t know how to floss or brush properly because they haven’t been properly educated,” he says. “When issues arise, we don’t want to just fix the symptoms, we want to look at and address the cause so the patient can reclaim ownership of their dental health and participate in their own healing. By providing high-quality, in-depth dental care and procedures, we can prevent long-term complications and ensure patients enjoy superior overall health.”
In addition to providing patients a solid foundation for quality oral health, Dr. An is also passionate about helping them gain more confidence via restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
“Whether we’re making minor adjustments to a chipped tooth or more in-depth enhancements with veneers, crowns, or bridges, it’s a true joy to see a patient fall in love with their smile,” Dr. An says. “Confidence is priceless!”
