Attorney Shivon Patel of The Principal Law Firm is a woman to watch – literally. Just consult the Orlando Business Journal, which recently named Shivon a 2019 Woman to Watch at its Women Who Mean Business Awards. In 2018 and 2019, Shivon was also selected to the Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for her expertise in real-estate law.
“It’s an honor to receive these awards and be recognized as a minority, woman-owned business,” says Shivon, a Seminole County native through and through who offers legal counsel for real estate, estate planning and probate, and business law. The Principal Law Firm is also a full-service title company providing commercial and residential closing, title, and escrow services. “I’ve been in business for nine years, and I strive to evolve my practice and exceed expectations.”
No matter how big or small the task, Shivon treats her clients like family and provides extraordinary knowledge and attention to detail to achieve their goals.
As icing on the cake, Shivon’s husband, Amit Patel, is the owner of A.P. Accounting & Tax Services, a certified public accounting firm located next door to The Principal Law Firm in Sanford. Together, Shivon and Amit have the unique ability to provide complementary services to their clients.
“Early on, when we were both building our businesses, we had a client who wanted to consult with both of us – it made perfect sense to work collaboratively,” Shivon recalls with a smile. “Building great relationships with our clients has always been the foundation of what we both do, and this was one way to do it.”
Shivon’s knack for relationship-building extends deep into the local community, as well. Shivon is a bona fide community builder who has been instrumental in local organizations such as The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools, the AdventHealth Foundation, and Sports 4 The Kids.
A young mom of two – son Ashaan is 6, and daughter Sahani is 2 – Shivon may have her hands full between work, family, and community commitments, but her heart is even fuller.
“I love what I do,” she says. “The key is to be super organized.”
With two recent accolades under her belt, Shivon is indeed a woman to watch – a woman who is building her business, her family, and her reputation right here in Seminole County. If you’re in need of legal counsel, give Shivon a call. The Principal Law Firm is here to help and does not charge for consultations.
