Arbor School Welcomes Autism Advocate Temple Grandin to Campus

Dr. Temple Grandin, a renowned autism advocate, recently spoke to parents, students, and staff at Arbor School of Central Florida’s Lake Mary campus. She is widely recognized as the most famous person in the world with autism.

Drawing from her personal journey, Dr. Grandin talked candidly about the challenges of autism, shared evidence-based research, and offered practical ideas for helping individuals overcome obstacles and reach their full potential. She also highlighted the value of understanding different thinking styles and emphasized the importance of hands-on, real-world experiences.


Arbor School of Central Florida is a multi-sensory, therapeutic private school with campuses in Lake Mary, Wekiva Springs, and Winter Springs. Together, the campuses serve more than 190 students with high functioning autism, dyslexia, Down syndrome, and other learning disabilities.
