Enjoy Sunset at the Zoo at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens All Summer Long
If you’re looking for a cost-effective and cool way to enjoy some wild fun this summer, Sunset at the Zoo at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is the perfect choice.
This popular summer tradition, presented by Orlando Health, takes place the fourth Friday of each month through September, offering guests the opportunity to explore the Zoo after hours in the evening, when the weather is a little cooler.
Each Sunset at the Zoo evening spotlights a unique culture and features live entertainment sponsored by TD Bank. In addition, the events feature food trucks, local vendors and nonprofits, themed keeper chats, and interactive family activities that celebrate the diverse communities of Central Florida.
Here’s the exciting lineup of what’s still to come this summer:
Friday, July 25 – Celebrating Black & African American Heritage
Friday, August 22 – Celebrating Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage
Friday, September 26 – Celebrating Hispanic Heritage
“It’s not just a trip to the Zoo – it’s a celebration of community,” says Richard E. Glover Jr., CEO. “Sunset at the Zoo has become a summer favorite, offering our guests a fun and unique way to experience the Zoo with a mix of culture, community, and conservation.”
Sunset at the Zoo is also the most affordable way to visit the Zoo. Tickets are $6 per person when purchased online before 5:00 p.m. that day and $8 per person at the gate. The event is separate from daytime admission and is not included for Annual Pass Holders. Families can get a great deal by purchasing a $44 Family 4-Pack, which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas. The Family 4-Pack offer is available online only.
During Sunset at the Zoo, the Zoo closes at its regular time of 4:00 p.m. and reopens its gates at 5:00 p.m., offering up plenty of fun until the sun goes down. The last admission for each event is 7:30 p.m. Sunset at the Zoo is held rain or shine and is a fun way to make the most of summer evenings without breaking the bank.
