Rotary Serves Up Service Above Self

It’s a tradition as reliable as turkey on Thanksgiving... Members of the Rotary Club of Lake Mary gather in the days before the fourth Thursday in November to pack bags full of holiday fixins’ for neighbors in need. The venue has changed a couple of times over the years – the Thanksgiving Pack-Up is now held at the nonprofit headquarters of Hearts, Hands, and Hope in Sanford – and the families and organizations who receive the meals constantly evolve to meet the community’s most pressing needs. But one thing stays the same: the commitment of Lake Mary Rotarians to give back and enjoy some fun and fellowship while they do.
