Dave’s House and the Mental Health Association of Central Florida, two local nonprofits dedicated to improving mental wellness and housing stability, recently held a double ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new offices at The Neighborhood Co-Op in Sanford.

The cooperative is a shared workspace providing affordable office and gathering space for nonprofits, businesses, and individuals committed to strengthening the community.

“We consider this office our launch pad to our development in Seminole County,” says Elena Norman, chair of Dave’s House board of directors. “This space at The Neighborhood Co-Op will allow us to do all of our administrative work, meet with clients, engage with donors, and oversee construction development.”

Dave’s House has launched a permanent, supportive housing project in Sanford (called Dave’s House at Celery) for adults with serious mental illness – offering a stable place to live, heal, and build independence.
