Fox Estate Buyers

by Kevin Fritz

With three generations of experience in buying and selling fine estate and modern jewelry, the family-owned Fox Estate Buyers has earned the trust of area residents as a local business that offers fair pricing and discretionary practices.

Fox Estate Buyers is owned and operated by Adam Fox, whose grandfather originally opened the business in New York City. The company eventually moved to Miami before relocating in 2022 to its current home in Winter Springs.

A graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, Adam took over the business from his family. In 2017, he changed the company name from The Collection, Inc., to Fox Estate Buyers, which better explains what the company does.

Beyond fine estate and modern jewelry, the company also specializes in buying true antiquities, gemstones, and watches. Most of the jewelry that piques Adam’s interest is limited-edition and antique. He is also interested in buying silver. The company’s worldwide market connections and stellar reputation assure sellers a fair value for their pieces.

Pedal to the Metal

“The metals market is the highest it’s ever been by an enormous margin,” says Adam, “which makes it a good time to sell.”

Residents seeking to sell their jewelry, gemstones, and watches can contact Adam directly by email, text, or phone to determine if there is interest in their pieces. After a no-obligation consultation and assessment by phone or in-person at the company’s office, Fox Estate Buyers will make an offer. If that offer is accepted, payment is immediate, whether by check, eCheck, or wire.

“I have bought some amazing pieces from people in the area,” says Adam, who lives in Winter Springs with his wife, their three children, and his mother. “Signed pieces and antiquity can hold a lot of value.”

Adam takes pride in working patiently with sellers, understanding that it is not always an easy decision to sell personal valuables and family heirlooms.

Because many people own diamonds and gold, Adam sees his fair share of those two popular jewelry items. Yet both have fluctuating markets that can affect their worth and pricing. When dealing with diamonds, Adam will only consider buying stones that are two carats or more.

“Diamonds took a hit but are still being traded,” he says. “There are so many diamonds out there.”

While lab-grown diamonds continue to experience market share growth, natural diamonds still dominate the field.

Fox Estate Buyers doesn’t buy lab-grown diamonds, says Adam, because they have no real cash value on the secondhand market.

As Good as Gold

Gold prices have surged and were hovering at $5,300 an ounce when this article went to print, up from $2,000 a year ago. Adam purchases anything jewelry-related, even broken pieces, but pays a premium for unique and better pieces.

“Whatever the market is at the time is what I pay,” he says.
