Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream
by Susan Shalhoub
Kelly Seidl, who grew up visiting her uncle’s dairy farm in Pennsylvania, has always been passionate about ice cream. But when she moved to Florida from New York, she found the ice cream landscape to be lacking.
So, she and husband Scott took matters into their own hands, creating the first batch of Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream in the kitchen of their home in 2013.
“Our ice cream is farmer’s-market style,” says Kelly, the company’s founder. “We do it all ourselves, from making cookies for the cookie-flavor ice cream to doing our own deliveries. We love serving people.”
Kelly’s has several convenient locations throughout Central Florida, including scoop shops in Lake Mary and Oviedo. Its delectable, original flavors include Mexican Chocolate, Cookie Butter Swirl, Cake Batter N’ Sprinkles, Banana Pudding, O-Dough, and Cookie Monster. Everything is made with only the highest-quality ingredients.
In addition, Kelly’s offers a changing monthly lineup of featured flavors. In July, the company celebrated World Cup Soccer with ice creams that paid tribute to 2026’s three host countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The results? All-American PB&J; Nanaimo Bar, based on the classic Canadian dessert; and Cinnamon Churro (for Mexico).
Psst ... and in November, Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream will bring a little sweetness to travelers when it opens a location at Orlando International Airport’s Terminal A, further cementing its place as Florida’s Favorite ice cream.
