Blo Blow Dry Bar opened in Lake Mary this summer, bringing a simple concept to the local salon market: wash, dry, style, and go.

“The concept of Blo is to come in, get your hair washed, dried, and styled and be out the door in 45 to 60 minutes,” says owner Cara Fitch.

This quick-service approach is designed to produce beautiful results and fit easily into busy schedules, whether a client is preparing for a special event, a date, or a girls’ night out.

Services are focused exclusively on styling – no haircuts or color services are offered – but makeup application is also available.

Cara discovered the Blo brand in 2022, regularly visiting the downtown Orlando location as a customer, herself. Cara, who has a passion for beauty, wellness, and self-care, understood Blo’s appeal firsthand.

“I couldn’t get appointments at my regular salon without scheduling them far in advance,” she says, “and it was very expensive.”

She found that wasn’t the case at Blo. At the Lake Mary location, a blowout runs from $59 to $74 (depending on hair length and thickness). Becoming a member of the blow-dry bar offers additional savings. When scheduling, clients can request their favorite stylist, something Cara says has been especially important to customers.

At Blo, the atmosphere is less traditional salon and more “getting ready with the girls,” says Cara. Clients can enjoy champagne or specialty coffee while relaxing, working on their phones, or preparing for their next destination.

Regular client Alisha Pike says Blo Lake Mary’s services have made her life easier.

“I don’t have to spend a couple of hours washing and blow-drying my hair,” says Alisha. “And they get the pampering right.”

For Cara, Blo Lake Mary is part of a larger vision to help women feel polished and confident. She and husband Ryan, who live in Apopka, have plans to open another Blo location there. Cara is also developing Blo on the Go, which will bring her team to weddings and other events for hair and makeup services.
