Certified Best Roofing

Certified Best Roofing in Oviedo, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, is now complementing the quality residential work it is known for with expanded offerings for the commercial sector.

“We have developed a commercial roof maintenance plan, custom-tailored for each business owner,” says Carrie Moreau, CEO and director of sales and marketing – also known as the Roofing Wonder Woman.

As part of its expansion, Certified Best Roofing has added Jeff Knizatko to the team as a senior project manager charged with growing the company’s commercial division.

“I am excited to join an organization that values networking and relationship building as much as I do,” says Jeff. “And above all, sharing the value of doing what’s right for our customers every time.”

Although the team is excited about its commercial sector expansion, notes Carrie, residential projects will continue to be Certified Best Roofing’s flagship service.

The company was founded by Carrie and her brother Derrick Vittitow in 2021 and blends Carrie’s business-owner background with Derrick’s construction knowledge. Derrick, the younger of the two, serves as the president and lead construction manager.

A jack-of-all-trades who has been tinkering with gadgets since he was a child, Derrick has found his professional niche as a business owner.

“Every time the phone rings,” he says, “it makes a little boy’s dream come true.”

Indeed, Derrick’s role at Certified Best Roofing gives him the opportunity to showcase his team’s versatility. The company, which has a residential contracting license, offers exterior services that extend beyond roofing, including windows, doors, gutters, and siding.

Raised in Casselberry, Derrick and Carrie are true locals who are dedicated to their community. Derrick graduated from Lyman High School, while Carrie earned her degree at Oviedo High School. Both are dog lovers and publish an annual calendar that features pictures of local pups, with proceeds benefiting area rescue centers.

As brother and sister in the construction industry, the siblings work well together and thrive as business owners by seamlessly melding their strengths.

“Our whole life, we have never argued, not even as kids,” says Carrie. “We have tremendous respect for each other.”
