For all your dog care needs, The Dog Stop in Oviedo is the place to go.

Owned by Justin Steiner, The Dog Stop offers all-inclusive boarding, daycare, grooming, and retail services for pups in the Oviedo area. Justin, who has lived in Central Florida with his wife for 10 years, opened the business in October 2025 after a successful career in technology and management consulting. He is a longtime dog owner and a firm believer in the special bond between humans and man’s best friend.

“Our team holds precious the trust people place in us to care for their dogs,” says Justin, who has two greyhounds and an English lab. “We have an enormous responsibility and living up to that is something that energizes us every day.”

The Dog Stop’s holistic retail boutique features a curated selection of toys and all-natural treats and chews, while its spa-like grooming area offers everything from baths and nail trims to amazing haircuts.

The interactive daycare environment is divided into four large rooms, each offering indoor and outdoor play space. One room is reserved for smaller dogs. For the other three rooms, dogs are separated according to their energy level, play style, and temperament. And for boarding clients, the team works with dog owners to customize each pup’s stay in standard or luxury suites.

“We want the dogs to have the most comfortable experience they can,” says Justin. “We make them feel safe and keep their stress levels as low as possible.”

A member of the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Dog Stop is meticulously clean and equipped with many safety features, including security cameras, motion detectors, and a sprinkler system. The business, which has a staff of a dozen full-time and part-time team members, partners with Fear Free, a professional organization dedicated to alleviating fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. Tours of the 10,000-square-foot facility are available during regular business hours, with no appointment needed.

“We treat the dogs like they’re ours,” says Justin. “Community response has been overwhelmingly positive, which I’m so humbled by and thankful for. Our Google reviews are amazing. People can see that we really care.”
