Mainstreet Community Bank of Florida

Mainstreet Community Bank of Florida has been a mainstay in Central Florida for more than 20 years. And in 2024, the bank opened its ninth branch – located right here in Oviedo.

“Products are basically the same from bank to bank,” says Vice President Windi Kenroy. “It’s our service that sets us apart.”

And how better to offer great service than to learn more about your clients? Mainstreet’s team takes the time to get to know its customers personally – their families, businesses, and financial goals.

This practice is especially evident in the commercial lending department, headed up by Vice President John Newell. John specializes in helping established businesses secure lines of credit, commercial real estate financing, equipment loans, and other business lending services. Unlike larger banks that often rely on automated approval systems, Mainstreet’s lending decisions are made locally.

“Banking with Mainstreet Community Bank is experiencing banking the way it used to be and should be,” says John. “Having local decision-makers allows us to tailor products and services to meet our clients’ needs. We understand that every client and every situation is different and that is what sets us apart.”

In addition, the Oviedo branch offers a full range of personal banking services, including checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, treasury services, and digital banking tools. The bank also provides the online conveniences customers expect today, with staff members who educate clients on how to make the most of those services.

It’s worth noting that calls to the bank’s 800-number don’t end up at an out-of-state call center; they ring directly to employees at Mainstreet’s local branches. That allows customers to speak with someone who best understands their needs.

That personalized approach is backed by the branch leadership’s decades of experience. Both Windi and John have more than 30 years in the banking industry and deep roots in Seminole County. They understand the local market and believe strong relationships lead to better financial solutions for their clients.

Mainstreet Community Bank’s commitment extends well beyond office walls, too. Members of the Oviedo branch support City of Oviedo events, belong to the Rotary Club of Oviedo, and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka, the Oviedo YMCA, and HOPE Helps. After all, Community is their middle name.
