Three years ago, Dr. Tanya Haber was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a physician, she was fortunate to have strong connections that helped her access quality medical treatment. But the experience left her wondering – what happens to patients who don’t have that kind of support?

Dr. Todd Newberg’s journey into the field of medicine started early. As a child, he often accompanied his father and grandfather – both physicians – on hospital rounds. After two decades practicing medicine, Dr. Newberg found himself drawn to the kind of care he observed growing up: personalized, relationship-based, and focused on long-term wellness.
Now, Dr. Haber and Dr. Newberg have teamed up to open MDVIP in Winter Park, a new primary care medical practice designed with a clear mission in mind: to detect and prevent health issues before they become problems. The practice’s Wellness Program includes advanced diagnostic testing and screening not typically covered by insurance, a customized treatment program, and in-depth follow-up visits. Plus, patients can reach their doctor by phone after hours.
While Dr. Haber and Dr. Newberg’s practice operates on a membership fee model similar to that of a concierge medicine practice, it stands out for its emphasis on proactive care and personalized attention. With a smaller patient panel size than conventional practices, the doctors can spend more time with every individual – building trust, addressing concerns more thoroughly, and practicing medicine the way
Dr. Newberg’s father and grandfather did.
At MDVIP, gone are the crowded waiting rooms and the rushed, 15-minute appointments. Both doctors are board-certified in internal medicine and well equipped to manage a wide range of conditions. When specialist care is needed, they draw on an extensive network of trusted referrals for their patients.
Doctors Haber and Newberg see patients Monday through Friday at 255 North Lakemont Avenue, Suite 100, in Winter Park. Same-day or next-day appointments are available, and the doctors are reachable 24/7.
