UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice
At UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice, our doctors are also College of Medicine faculty members training the next generation of healthcare leaders. So, they care for patients using the same collaborative, evidence-based practices they teach.
With two office locations in East Orlando and Lake Nona, the practice provides primary care in internal and family medicine, and specialty care in cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, general and endocrine surgery, geriatrics, lifestyle medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, and rheumatology. We like to say we provide academic primary and specialty care under one roof.
That means if you are a patient with multiple medical conditions, UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice can provide team-based care to help you maintain optimum wellness. For example, our physicians can provide integrated care for patients with diabetes who need kidney, heart, and eye care. Our endocrinology team also includes a surgeon who is an expert in endocrine and endocrine cancer surgery. Our rheumatology team works alongside our dermatologist, a recognized national and international expert on complex medical dermatology, including autoimmune skin diseases.
Our ophthalmology team specializes in cataract surgery, and our cardiology team includes a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of autonomic disorders, such as the Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).
We have an on-site, noninvasive cardiovascular lab where we provide diagnostic services including echocardiography, stress echocardiograms, Holter monitoring, and coronary event monitoring. We also perform dynamic endocrine tests for evaluating endocrine disorders and perform thyroid ultrasound and biopsy procedures for thyroid nodules in our office. Our rheumatology team offers the latest biologic therapies, infusion treatments, and nonsurgical pain management solutions.
Because our doctors teach doctors, we are committed to providing the very best medical care to the Greater Orlando community. We want to help you learn how to prevent and manage disease by making healthier lifestyle choices. And we even have physicians certified as lifestyle medicine specialists who can help you adopt healthier habits when it comes to diet improvement, increasing physical activity, improving restorative sleep patterns, stress management, eliminating excessive alcohol consumption and tobacco use, and building support systems. These are the pillars of better health through lifestyle medicine.
We are patient-centered and focused on you as a person, not a disease. And we are committed to excellence. On our website, under each physician’s biographic information, you’ll see their patient review scores for “Confidence in Care” and “Clinical Satisfaction.”
At UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice, you are part of the UCF College of Medicine family. And that includes the medical school’s mission to advance health through research to improve the health of us all.
The College of Medicine conducts clinical and translational research including FDA-regulated drug (phases I-IV) and device research with the goals of providing novel treatment to our patients, advancing medicine, and increasing the understanding of disease. And several of our physicians are conducting clinical trials to create better treatments.
UCF Health Faculty Physician Practice accepts most major health insurance and offers on-line scheduling and bill-paying options.
We hope you will consider us for your primary and specialty care needs.
